Hi! I'm Alix
Founder. Certified Herbalist. Mixologist. Bartender. Tea Alchemist.
To me, tea is more than a beverage - it’s ritual, reflection, and a source of joy. My earliest memories are mother-daughter tea parties, and after my mother’s passing in 2008, tea became a healing practice.
In 2020, I rediscovered her vintage herbalism book, inspiring my path as a certified herbalist and mixologist. What started as blending teas and cocktails for friends became Rhino + Lucy, a whimsical world where Tiki meets Tea, guided by my stuffed muses, Mixologist Rhino and Tea Master Lucy. I’m so glad you’re here.

My love for Tiki began with weekend adventures across Los Angeles, discovering hidden bars and elaborate cocktails alongside Alix. Inspired, we turned a corner of our home into a tiki bar prototype and began dreaming bigger. Our shared passion for rhinos and conservation made it easy to blend our two worlds, Tiki and Tea, into Rhino + Lucy. I now proudly serve as bartender, taste-tester, and tiki curator for our growing business.

A globe-trotting rhino with a love for vintage glassware, bold cocktails, and all things Tiki. As a seasoned bartender, he's known for crafting custom drinks at pop-ups, parties, and private events. A natural host, he lives to entertain and create unforgettable experiences.

Lucy
A seafaring Dumbo Octopus and tea alchemist with a passion for oolongs, gongfu, and botanical blends. With her ever-growing teapot collection and love for ritual, she brings meaning and magic to every cup, from custom blends to pendulum tea readings.

We believe herbs hold wisdom and so do you. While we love crafting curated blends, we honor that herbs affect each person differently, depending on factors like diet, lifestyle, energetics, and intention. Your body knows what it needs, and our goal is to help you listen.
That’s why we offer Custom Tea Blends and Pendulum Tea Readings, a one-of-a-kind, in-person experience that uses intuitive energy work and seasonal herbs to craft a blend just for you.

We believe herbs and cocktails go hand in hand. Many classic drinks, like the Negroni and Old Fashioned, began as herbal bitter digestifs, with ingredients originally crafted for medicinal use. (Fun fact: Fernet-Branca was even legal during Prohibition!)
