Introducing Lucy’s Pendulum Tea Readings — a one-of-a-kind, in-person experience where herbal magic meets energetic insight.

Using a pendulum and a curated collection of 23 herbs, Lucy intuitively reads each guest’s energy to reveal the blend their body and spirit are currently calling for. It’s not your average tea reading — it’s a meaningful, interactive ritual that your guests won’t forget.

Each reading takes approximately 15 minutes, and every guest leaves with their own 10-serving custom tea blend, handcrafted on the spot.

Perfect for wellness events, private parties, retreats, and markets. Can be paired with bartending activations or other vendor setups.

🍵 Gongfu Tea Ceremony

Looking to bring a calming, intentional experience to your next event? Let Lucy guide you through the ancient art of Gongfu tea.

Our tea ceremony offering includes full Gongfu tea service for up to 75 guests, featuring a rotating selection of our reserve, organically sourced caffeinated teas. Each ceremony allows for multiple steepings—encouraging reflection, conversation, and connection over the course of up to 4 hours.

We provide all ingredients and ceremonial equipment, including:

🍂 Tea Ceremony Workshop

Step into the art of mindful brewing.

In this immersive workshop, guests will learn the traditional gongfu tea ceremony, exploring the beauty, intention, and flow of brewing. Together, we’ll sample a variety of teas—including smooth oolongs and earthy pu-erhs—while discovering the origins, energetics, and tasting profiles of each.

All ingredients and ceremonial supplies are included. For those who wish to continue their tea journey at home, gongfu brewing kits are available to take home for an additional $45 per guest.

🧾 Booking & Logistics

How do I book your services?

Once you reach out through our inquiry form, we’ll confirm availability within 24 hours. From there, we’ll schedule time to go over the details and create a custom menu or activation plan just for you.

A 25% deposit secures your date and is applied toward your total balance. The remaining 75% is due upon arrival the day of the event (unless otherwise arranged).

Do you travel for events?

We’re based in Southern California and travel is free within 25 miles of Torrance, CA. We're happy to go beyond that for events — travel fees may apply depending on the distance and setup needs. Just ask us when booking!

How long does setup and teardown take?

We typically arrive 30–45 minutes before service begins to set up and prep. After the event, we’ll need about 30 minutes to clean up and break down. If you’re using our pop-up bar or additional rentals, we may need a little more time — we’ll always plan ahead with you.

What’s your cancellation policy?

  • 30+ days before your event: Your deposit is fully refundable.
  • 15–29 days before your event: Your deposit is non-refundable, but can be applied as a credit toward a future booking (rescheduled one time, subject to availability).
  • Within 14 days of your event: Your deposit is non-refundable due to scheduling and preparation already in progress.

🍹 Bar Service

Do you provide the alcohol?

We don’t sell or bring alcohol, but we do provide a curated shopping list based on your menu — complete with quality + budget-friendly liquor recommendations.

What’s included with the bartending package?

Two licensed, insured bartenders, all bar tools, 48 lbs of ice, custom shopping list, cups, napkins, straws, and 2–4 cocktails from our Signature Menu. Add-ons like a pop-up bar, tiki mugs, and crushed ice machine are available too!

Do you offer mocktails or non-alcoholic drinks?

Yes! We can offer full mocktail menus or pair mocktails with your cocktail service. We also host tea-based beverage experiences for spirit-free events.

Do you offer drink signage or menus?

Yes! We provide custom printed or framed drink menus for all full-service bartending packages. If you have a specific theme or aesthetic, we’ll design signage to match — or send you a digital version you can print yourself.

Can I customize the cocktail menu?

Yes, we love customizing drinks to match your vibe! You can choose from our 25+ Signature Cocktails, or we’ll help you create something totally unique — whether it’s themed, seasonal, or inspired by your favorite spirits. We also offer custom mocktails and fresh ingredients, with optional in-person tastings starting at $200.

Can I rent your bar setup or mugs separately?

Rentals are only available when bundled with our services. However, we’re happy to build a scaled-down service package if you’re looking for decor + drinkware magic without a full setup.

Can you work indoors or outdoors? What happens if it rains?

We can work in both indoor and outdoor settings! If your event is outdoors, we do recommend a shaded or covered area for hot days and light rain. For full weather protection, we can bring a 10x10 pop-up tent if needed — just let us know in advance.

Can you match our party theme or colors?

Absolutely! Whether you’re going full tropical, soft and moody, or bright and playful — we’re happy to coordinate your cocktails & garnishes, to complement your vibe. Just send us a mood board or color palette when booking!

Why the name Rhino + Lucy?

Rhino + Lucy is named after our two plush muses: Rhino, a globe-trotting rhino with a love for bold cocktails and vintage tiki, and Lucy, a tea-loving dumbo octopus with a passion for herbs and ritual. They embody the spirit of everything we do — playful, intentional, and always a little magical. 🦏🐙

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Rhino + Lucy started in 2021 as a passion project inspired by our love of tea, tiki, and storytelling. What began as custom cocktails and tea blends for friends quickly grew into a traveling bar and teahouse built around connection, creativity, and a little bit of magic.

(And yes — our plush mascots, Rhino the cocktail connoisseur and Lucy the tea-loving octopus, are very much part of the team. 🦏🐙)

What kind of training or certifications do you have?

We’re licensed and insured to serve alcohol in California, and we’ve completed the BarSmarts spirits & mixology course. On the herbal side, Lucy is certified in herbal formulations and tea blending through the Herbal Academy. Whether it's shaken or steeped, you're in good hands.

Do you support any causes?

Yes! We donate 10% of our profits to animal conservation organizations — a nod to our beloved mascots, Rhino & Lucy, and a way to give back to the creatures who inspire us every day.
